Dr. Barchett is born and raised in southwest Michigan. She completed under graduate degree at Grand Valley State University and earned her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Michigan State University in 2017. Since graduation she has since cultivated a broad skill set in preventive care, diagnostics, internal medicine, routine surgical procedures, and dentistry. Dr. Barchett believes in building strong relationships with pet owners to ensure the best possible outcomes for her patients. She is passionate about helping pets live long, healthy lives.

As a new owner Dr Barchett is excited to welcome you and your pets to Kalamazoo Animal Hospital. She hopes to bring a fresh vision and deep commitment to the region she calls home. Allowing the clinic to continue to grow as a trusted resource for pet owners in Southwest Michigan, and a welcoming environment for all. Outside the clinic, Dr. Barchett enjoys spending her time with her husband, two children, rescue dog Gidget and GSP Dunkel.
